Monsignor McHenry Launches New Website: The Online Cottage—Prayer, Healing, Preaching
Dear Friends in Christ,
On the feast of St. John Vianney, patron saint of parish priests, I launched a website for my priestly ministry now that I have obtained Pastor Emeritus status. The website is called The Online Cottage (www.theonlinecottage.org) and the focus is threefold: prayer, healing, and preaching.
Within The Online Cottage, you will have access to homilies both recent and from the past, in both written and audio form. You can listen to short daily homilies (about four minutes) to nourish your spiritual life, listen to Sunday preaching, and read both old and new homilies centered around specific themes of interest. In the near future, video and retreat talks will be added. You will also be able to access all episodes of my weekly Friday radio program, Companions on the Journey, read posts on my new blog, find prayers and resources to deepen your faith in Our Eucharistic Lord, and much more.
You can also submit requests for prayer, for healing, and other requests. I will add such requests to my daily celebration of the Eucharist and my own personal prayers. Each day I continue to offer Mass for all of your intentions. To do so brings me great joy. I know that you pray for your priests and deacons. That is especially important at this time. Thank you for including me in those prayers. I have always relied upon them and still do.
It is my ardent hope that Catholic lay persons, clergy, consecrated religious, and families find God in the ordinariness of life, seek Our Eucharistic Lord with all their hearts, and receive all the graces He bestows as a result. He is so worth our gift of time, and our love.
May He bless you today and give you His peace.
